Anger Management Resources

Posted by Owen Jones on Jun 1, 2010 in Uncategorized

Because anger management is a such a big problem in society today, there have been many programs developed, books written, Internet websites created and anger management movies filmed. Even though all of this help is available and available for anyone, not all people with anger issues can benefit from the same type of resource. Some people get help attending an anger management program - it may be effective and cause major changes in their characteristics.

Being able to get away alone with a book can be best for some people with anger management issues. Seeing their problems in print and being able to sift through them in their mind might be one of the great anger management resources. The Internet is a fantastic resource regarding anger management and some people may find it helpful to view the different websites and read stories about individuals with anger management issues. However, for many people who have difficulties controlling their anger, watching an anger management video could be what it takes to break them out of their behaviour of angry, emotional outbursts.

Watching an anger management movie would allow the individual the opportunity to see, with their very own eyes and hear with their very own ears, just what anger does to a person and those around them. An anger management video should give examples and situations where individuals act on their anger. The film may apply exactly to an individual’s current circumstances. It may strike home - so to speak. Watching the actors play out plot and their behaviour may be an eye-opener. It may take watching a husband beat a child or wife, a mother attacking her child, a child bullying another kid, to realize that anger is a significant problem to them.

When an angry person is in that situation- ie really angry, he is likely to blame it on whoever is around him. But being an actor in his own picture, he is incapable of watching his own performance. However, if they given the opportunity of seeing it on the big screen, he might be surprised and even devastated by his actions. Watching an anger management film would probably be like watching yourself in a similar situation. This may be the device that works best for some people.

An anger management movie will not only give illustrations of the actual situations involving anger. The movie will likely provide information regarding anger management techniques. Using these techniques and the characters in the movie, it is likely that there would be scenes of people being introduced to anger management techniques and programmes.

The film would explain the steps to dealing with anger and frustration issues. This type of anger management movie might be the answer to a lot of people’s problems. It would seem a good idea if the anger management movie showed the person, in the same situation as the sufferer, change from the first scene in the film to the last scene. Showing how the individual was able to receive help through anger management and turn his life around, could just be the incentive he needed.

No doubt, there are all sorts of anger management movie available. The Internet is a great source of information regarding anger management and anger management resources such as books and anger management movies. If you think you or someone you know would benefit from watching an anger management movie, it would be a wise idea to get your hands on one.

Fixing Your Debt Situation

Posted by Bob Jones on May 7, 2010 in Uncategorized

You need to differentiate between the various types of financial problems. For example, a financial emergency is when you experience a situation that can render you penniless, homeless or without any important property. You should separate these kinds of emergency from a threatening phone call or a letter from a debt collector.

When experiencing such an emergency, it is vital to act immediately. You have to begin by contacting the creditor. Doing so enables you to work out a temporary solution, which can help you to keep your possessions. However, it does not always work and if it doesn’t, getting in touch with your lawyer to negotiate with the creditor is necessary.

Face up to your Problem: A popular misconception in debt situations is that “the less you know, the less it hurts”. However, you need to learn how to face your debt problems. You need to be able to do this since rebuilding and repairing your credit will not occur, if you do not know exactly where your money goes or where it needs go instead.

Although it is not harmful to overestimate the amount of your debt, it is always necessary to know how much money you really owe. You can do this by taking a look at the bills you have received. If you have thrown out your bills without even opening them, you can still call the company and inquire about them or request duplicates.

Several creditors even use automated reply systems, which can provide a debt balance and information regarding the payments automatically, so you do not even have to speak to anyone. Additionally, information about your account might also be available on your creditors’ web sites. After acquiring the necessary amounts, total them all up, especially those overdue instalment bills.

Options Available for Your Debts: There are several options available when dealing with debts. One is to do nothing. This option is probably the most popular approach used by those who are deeply in debt. Frequently, these people have a very small income and maybe no property and do not usually expect any change in their lifestyle. If you do not anticipate any significant income any time soon, you can consider this option.

However, doing nothing does not really help, so perhaps you could find some money to pay your debts. You can do this by, first, selling a major asset, like a car or a house. This can be a good choice if you can no longer afford your car or house payments. Instead of waiting for a repossession or foreclosure to happen, selling the property is always a better solution.

The proceeds you gain from the sales should be put towards lessening your debt. Moreover, you should remember to pay off the liens placed by the creditors and use anything that is left to pay (something) off your other debts too. However, before taking this step, make sure that you have already worked out a solution to your accommodation or transport requirements.

Another way to help you pay off your debts, is to cut your expenses. This will help you not only in the repayment of your debts but also in negotiating with your creditors. Try to shrink the cost of your food by clipping coupons, purchasing generic brands, buying when there is a sale on or shopping at discount stores.

However, if you cannot reduce your outgoings significantly, you could always borrow money from a tax-deferred account. Tax-deferred retirement accounts, like IRA or 401(k), can be used to help pay off debts by withdrawing money from them before retirement. However, since you may need to pay a penalty or taxes, this must only serve as your last resort.

Sure, it brings in a lot of tax revenue and keeps some people in gainful employment, but then smokers also take more time off sick and spend more time in hospital than their non-smoking colleagues. Smokers reply that it calms their nerves, but so would other relaxation techniques such as yoga even sitting down. Let’s face it, public opinion has swung far against smoking with smokers more often than not being vilified and pitied these days. Smokers also look rather silly nipping out of the office, restaurant or pub for a cigarette every hour or so, don’t they?

Anger Management And Violence At Home.

Posted by Colin Jones on Apr 15, 2010 in Uncategorized

How is anger management connected with domestic violence? Well, put simply, most people that abuse their spouse in this type of situation, get angry due to some anti-social disorder in that person’s subconscious mind. Anger is one of the main symptoms of personality disorder, which include paranoia, schizophrenia, schizoid, antisocial, psychopathic, histrionic and sociopathic personalities.

Most people who are abusive in relationships have anti-social personalities. The anti-social personality type often attacks when he or she is drunk or under the influence of some other drug. This is not true in all instances of course, but it is true in most circumstances. Anti-social personality types often disregard rules and regulations and usually feel that they are authorized to do so. Anti-social personality types are controlling and if you do not conform to their authority, they often show their anger in a controlling or violent manner.

Anti-social types will often humiliate, intimidate, brutally physically abuse and mentally belittle their spouse, but the domestic abuse does not usually stop there. This type of individual has never proven to be likely to respond to anger management techniques. In other words, men that batter their wives will usually continue to do so until someone gets seriously injured. It is not a good idea to engage with this type of person, as there is rarely any hope at all of them controlling their anger. This type will often beat a spouse, until they only want to kill them. This means someone could die, since this sort of person will become angrier and angrier as the years pass and will rarely ask for anger management help with their domestic violence.

Even if he or she does get anger management help for domestic violence, it often fails. It is not recommended to start a relationship with this type of person. The signs are an unkempt appearance or wild expressions, laughing for no apparent reason, laughing in a situation where a person was humiliated, outbursts of anger for no reason et cetera. This type of person is superficial and will often lead you to believe that he or she is a model to society, when behind closed doors the brute appears.

Of course, hatred is the underlying cause of this person’s anger, and hate has been proven to kill. Often deep-seated jealousy also underlies the anger issues within these types of people. Many of these angry people take drugs, including cocaine, crack, marijuana and others. They often exceed the safety limit for alcohol consumption and this only increases the odds of them flying into a rage.

An example of bad anger management and domestic violence can be seen in a small town called Dowagiac in Michigan, a man attempted to kill several women but was still allowed to go free. Little anger management help was provided to this person and often his furious attacks were simply because he felt that he could not control his victims. The victims did not get any justice and a few even believed that they could change his angry ways.

Within a short time, he was sitting in the county gaol on a string of charges, including assault of a police officer and hit and run. The police, according to witnesses, claim that the criminal had had a weapon and was drunk when he fled in order to elude arrest and marijuana was found in his vehicle. This person had a continuous history of violence but the justice system let those victims down, which led to more anger management problems.

Another example of anger is in borderline personality types. These people, when feeling abandoned, will lash out at others. Sometimes they are physically abusive, but most of the time they are verbally and mentally abusive. The spouse has only to go to work and when he or she returns home, they will be accused of doing something wrong.

The abusive person with anger management problems might even call the workplace of the partner numerous times to verify that he or she is not spending time with someone else. This is another type of domestic violence from an angry person that seldom gets better, and like the anti-social personality types, these people are dangerous and manipulative.

Paranoid personality types are equally dangerous and manipulative but their anger is almost impossible to predict, because, in most cases, these types react to voices heard inside or outside their heads. Like the antisocial types, the paranoid type seldomly has a justifiable reason for their behaviour. In most cases, it is just an issue of control, which means that if the victim is not easily uncontrollable, the paranoid person will react with anger and violence.

Anger Management For Children

Posted by Colin Jones on Dec 30, 2009 in Uncategorized

Anger, which is a perfectly normal emotion, can change into something frightening and ugly. The first impression you might have of anger issues may bring about images of a couple fighting, a parent abusing a child or a teenager lashing out at a teacher or a parent. Rarely will images of angry kids come to mind. Unfortunately children, at very young ages, have to cope with emotions of anger and rage. This is a truth which is often very difficult for adults to understand or cope with.

Children, young children especially, aren’t normally aware of their emotions. When a child becomes upset or mad they simply show these emotions through their behaviour. A good instance of this is a little boy in a supermarket who throws a tantrum because he’s upset. Many parents have had to deal with similar circumstances. It is sad that often these occurrences are overlooked or dismissed because they are “just children”. Anger management in children is just as important, or probably even more important than anger management in adults.

A child needs teaching and guidance from their coming into the world to their entry into adulthood. The things they learn throughout their young lives are likely to form the person they become as an adult. Therefore, anger management in children with difficulties dealing with their foul temper is very important. So, finding ways of teaching anger management for kids usually presents challenges.

There are programmes designed especially for kids with frustration, anxiety and anger management issues. Finding one that works for a particular child might require testing many methods. Not all youths will respond to the same treatment for anger management for kids. Because a child cannot always relate their feelings surrounding angry outburst, finding the right approach may take some time. Until the issue is resolved or at least controlled, it is vital to continue the search.

Young kids may respond well to worksheets, games and fun activities. All of these can be used to great effect to teach anger management for kids. Developing programs which incorporate each of these methods might be the best route to take. A child completing a worksheet, colouring sheet or participating in games and activities with underlying messages regarding anger management for kids, may not even realize they are working on their anger-related problems.

Making the activity fun doesn’t mean that the anger issue has to be left out. Choosing fun activities which teach healthy interaction and decision making might be good for anger management for kids. Teaching them to take turns and helping them to learn that they can’t always be the best or the winner would definitely make a difference when confrontational situations arise. Little activities which instill values and positive thinking would be beneficial for anger management in children.

If a youth is old enough to discuss their anger-related problems, encouraging them to divulge their emotions is very important. Suggesting that they talk to someone with whom they feel comfortable and trust is a good idea regarding anger management for kids. Asking them to write or draw about their emotions may help them reveal their underlying problems, whether it be anxiety, hurt or sadness.

Teaching them to ask for help when they feel threatened or angry would certainly help the child with an anger-related problem. The important detail to realize when considering anger management in children are they are just “children”. Their minds are not equipped to handle adult situations and so they will require a more careful approach.

The Link Between anger And Depression

Posted by Rhys Jones on Dec 3, 2009 in Uncategorized

Depression and anxiety are said to be the causes of uncontrolled anger. When a person is constantly worried about things they have no control over or even things they do have control over, it often causes depression. If you have the feeling, there is no hope then your depression can affect your life and cause you to sink into a spiral of despair.

Taking control of your emotions produces good results. If you feel that the world is crumbling down then you are almost definitely thinking in a negative way, which instigates depression and anxiety. In this article, we will reveal some techniques to help you cope with anxiety and depression, thus relieving uncontrollable anger.

First of all, let us take a look at the symptoms. Do you feel like you are going out of your mind? Do you shout in your head: ‘I cannot take it any more?’. Do you feel like someone is out to get you? Do you think people view you as a crazy person? If you are suffering any or all of these symptoms or thoughts then you are probably suffering from anxiety and depression.

If you can not find a way to think differently, then you will probably explode when your emotions start to soar and your anger breaks out. Instead of telling yourself that you are out of your mind, why not tell yourself that you are only having a temporary emotional problem and that you need to resolve the situation. Review all the problem areas carefully and search your memory to see if there are answers to your problems there. Reviewing like this, often opens doors to resources you may have overlooked.

If you feel like someone is out to get you then you may have a chemical imbalance or a mental illness. Why not go to see your doctor or a mental health expert to learn more about the symptoms and find a way to regain control of your life. Anxiety and depression can play tricks with your mind but sometimes the thoughts are the result of a lack of chemical balance.

If you think that people think you are crazy you might want to remember that most people have their own problems and have no time to analyze you as a person. When you walk into a room and think that people are staring at you, you might want to remember that people observe things around them, making sure everything is OK and then return to their own lives.

If you feel like you cannot take it any more, just bite your lip and buckle down to it. When times are difficult, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world, although sometimes it may seem this way. If you are struggling to pay bills, fighting to hold a family together, or having difficulty with your children then remember that we all have these problems at some time or another in our lives.

Are your children driving you nuts? If they are, take a break. Go do something entertaining or exercise. This often relieves the stress that leads to anxiety, depression and anger. Life is too short to worry about the things you do not have control over. If you have problems, the answers are within you, so it pays to review your mind.

If you are really struggling to obtain your goals then you might want to break them down into smaller more realistic segments and work patiently to achieve them. If you set goals that are within reason, you will not need to get stressed finding a way to achieve them.

It is important to pamper yourself each day. Learn some coping techniques that will benefit both your mind and your body. If you feel overwhelmed, you might want to inhale and exhale for ten counts.

Curling up on a couch to watch your favourite film can benefit your mind and body, if you want to let your mind relax. Learn to concentrate on what you are doing instead of fretting about what you are not doing. This often clears the mind and allows you to relax.

If you are subject to sustained anger, you will most likely have difficulties for the remainder of your life unless you learn to take control of your emotions. Remember depression leads to uncontrollable anger.

Important Advice for Executive Job Search

Posted by Owen Jones on Nov 21, 2009 in Uncategorized

It is pretty normal for every individual to try for career progress and development. It makes individuals think that all of their demanding work and study has paid off and a promotion is indeed the best recompense that a business individual can obtain.

On the other hand, for those whose good fortune appears to be so intangible, they have to find their own advancement somewhere else. That is why most of them opt for executive employment searches, where they dream that someday they will be lucky enough to come across the executive employment that they have long been dreaming of.

But is it really just luck? Or are there some factors that need to be considered when you are searching for the administrative employment of your dreams?

Obtaining a good quality managerial job is not dependent on serendipity. It depends on doing the right things at the right time in the right place. For individuals who want to discover some advice regarding supervisory employment searches, here are some pointers on how to get that dream job:

Killer looks

The phrase, ?If looks could kill? is not only a saying But what I want to point out here is that your appearance can certainly kill a individual?s chances of obtaining his or her managerial job if the interviewee has missed one very important factor. And that issue is their looks.

As the phrase goes, first impressions last, so it would be better to make that first impression looking just correct for the employment. After all, if a individual wants to have an administrative job, then, he should dress suitably for the position. In this way, the supervisory employment he had been searching for might just become a reality. If you can’t dress and groom yourself like an supervisory, how will the employment interviewer know that you can be an supervisory?

Show a Bit of Mastery

For an supervisory situation, most employers will hope to take on those who are already experienced in the field for which they are applying for employment. This means that the applicant should buff up on the areas concerning their selected careers. This will show that the candidate has already started on a coherent career path and is already erudite in that field.

It will do an candidate no good to claim to be a ‘jack of all trades but a master of none’ Six out of 10 applicants are hired because of their proficiency in a certain field. This only means that employers are more involved in people who have already mastered their career and have established some sort of uninterrupted career growth.

Nevertheless, finding an available administrative job is only the first part of the long journey, but actually getting that dream managerial job is quite another thing. Looking and acting the role is a requirement to landing that dream job, so learn how to groom yourself; learn how to speak well and learn how to look the part.

What Anger Management Technique is there?

Posted by Rhys Jones on Oct 18, 2009 in Uncategorized

Dealing with anger is never easy, since people are continually facing problems and reasons for conflict. Nevertheless our anger management technique is vital We have to deal with price increases, arguments, war, violence, crime, everyday common stupidity and continuous interruptions. There is not one single person in this sometimes difficult world that has not gotten quite angry at some time or another.

Anger is a feeling that we all have to deal with. But anger comes in many forms: the root of anger is hatred, anxiety or frustration as a result of previous deception or disappointment, comes from bad anger management technique. This is true. However, true or not, even in the Bible it says that when Adam and Eve were created on Earth, the first incident was when the Devil|Satan|, in the form of a snake, lied, deceiving Eve. Once that lie became known, the world started suffering many problems, including violence, murder, war, shortages, disease, weather disasters etc.

Ever since that first lie, the world has become more and more chaotic and continues to worsen as the years go past. We can look at how a lie can provoke anger by looking at an individual case. A person engaged in criminal activities, such as stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now this person felt she had to use deception, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were her only means of survival.

So, she started lying to cover up her crimes. As the years went by, that person became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, her poor anger management technique, the way she was living her life. That person began acting as anyone suffering from uncontrolled anger would act.

This included, putting others down, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling and mocking others. The woman was diagnosed with a mental disorder, Post traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health issues, including diabetes. Now if we look at all the aspects of that person’s anger and her anger management technique, we can see, if we search deep enough, that her lying, which caused paranoia, was the root cause of her behavioral problems.

A lot of people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder react angrily because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. That is right! People with post traumatic stress disorder often suppress their emotions and when they are violent or angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma and not the person in their presence.

But, we do not see this as the cause for the woman’s fury, since she did not make the problem public knowledge. Therefore, people would not think of post traumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least reduce the possibility of it. So, now let’s examine diabetes, since this illness has an affect on the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates other problems too, but many people with diabetes will become upset for little or no reason at all.

However, most people do not behave angrily, assault, insult or attack others . If we look at why crimes are committed, we see that very often, serious behavioural problems derive from having told lies. Therefore, when we look at this woman’s case again, we can see that we have to think about the underlying problems that is her lying and get her to move forward, avoiding episodes of frustration, anxiety and anger by using some form of anger management technique.

Now, this person is in denial, which means that until the legal system makes her take steps to anger management technique, then she probably will not get seek herself. In addition, even if the criminal justice system does force her to get help, it probably will not work, since her denial has existed for probably many years. Now we are dealing with a real problem in anger management technique , since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy will beneeded.

Anger is a normal emotion, but when it interferes with someone else’s life, it becomes a serious problem. This person is not hurting only one person, she is hurting society as a whole, since when she steals or writes bad checks, society pays with tax increases, as well as other increases. One of the worst things that I have noticed with this type of person, is that the system and society allows it to continue; only attempting to deal with it when the person is in custody. Once the person is released, then it starts again. This is a sequence of events involving lack of control due to anger mis-management and bad anger management technique.

How to Raise Your Credit Score

Posted by Owen Jones on Oct 7, 2009 in Uncategorized
by Bob Jones

A significant feature in holding on to a high credit status is actually the contents of your credit report. The credit report is very much the chronicle of your monetary life, encapsulated in a comprehensive file.

The credit report details the credit score, which is a numeric grade typically between 300 and 850. Most lenders use the credit score to help them make their mind up whether you are worthy of credit. Furthermore, the score is also used to conclude your capability of paying a loan. The credit report is significant and cleaning or holding on to a good credit report is very important to your monetary well-being.

Inside a Typical Credit Report:

In a credit report, the first item is generally your personal data. It includes your name, listed telephone numbers, previous and current addresses, reported differences of your Social Security Number, past and present employers and date of birth.

The data about your credit accounts follows your personal data item. This is also listed in detail and normally includes loans, the total loan amount, and details of any joint account holders or co-signers. The credit report also incorporates a section, called ‘Inquiries’, which details any person who has recently asked for a facsimile of the credit report.

There are some states, wherein the credit report includes public record data. These data can feature unpaid payments, bankruptcies or other judgments in the court. generally, these entries can remain for up to ten years and might adversely influence your odds of obtaining a loan.

How to Start

Firstly, in order to repair your credit report, you will have to order a facsimile of the report. You have to establish what is out of date or incorrect, after which you can send a letter to the bureau asking for repairs to the data. This process might take a long time and you can be required to do a number of follow-ups with each bureau before achieving a clean credit report. However, to execute this properly, you have to be aware of the details the credit agencies are permitted to report and the duration of those details.

Requesting a credit report can be easily achieved as they are available to everyone. At least one free report can be obtained by the consumer each year; this regulation is also included in the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In addition, the consumer is also permitted to obtain a free facsimile of his or her credit report every year from each of the three major firms dealing with credit reporting, that is to say Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. Nevertheless, if you have already obtained a copy of your credit report this year, you could be required to pay an extra fee if you require another copy.

Once you have obtained your report, review it carefully. Every detail must be studied since bureaus may sometimes confuse names, addresses or employers. Most often, people who have common names have credit reports that may contain data from someone else of the same name.

Furthermore, it is crucial to perform a periodic check on your credit report. It is advisable to order a facsimile of the report once a year and dispute any possible inaccuracies. Always be meticulous in dealing with your payments and make sure not to make any late instalments. Time is of the essence and even minimum instalments should not be neglected. Remember that carefully managing your credit can add as much as fifty points to your credit score per year.
