games Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is a vivid example of how pc gamers are being disrespected out of exclusive pc features. When Infinity Ward announced that they would not include dedicated servers in Modern Warfare 2 geeks all across the net were united and loud in denouncing the decision. A group was formed to boycott the game, while many held true most didn’t and went ahead and bought the game.
In the meantime sales for Modern Warfare on the PC were pretty good, in spite of an industry busting sixty dollar price tag. Activision thought that because the game was essentially a console game on the PC that the game would be able to pull a sixty dollar price tag, and they were right!
What this whole thing shows, to me, is that PC gamers are as divided as just about any other demographic you can think of. Sure, they talked a good game but when it came down to it they backed off and bought Modern Warfare 2 for the PC. I wasn’t a part of the boycott but I bought the game as well, so at the very least you can’t call me a hypocrite.
Another popular complaint about MW2 is the low player limit for multiplayer games. I don’t understand why they would force the consoles limit on the pc gamers. PC’s can handle more players and it’s simply inexcusable to place an artificial limit on computer gamers than needs to be. It’s pure laziness and it’s ridiculous.
It’s time for pc gamers to demand better, to effectively “vote” for the kinds of features we want with our dollars. Buy games that are PC specific or at least provide features that consoles don’t have because the PC isn’t as limited as the Xbox 360 or PS3 hardware wise.

games Back in 2008 BioWare introduced us to an action game mixed with RPG elements and gave it the name Mass Effect. Now in 2010 BioWare have released its successor and the second part of the planned trilogy: Mass Effect 2. This sequel is vastly improved on over the original game. Every detail from game play mechanics to user interface has been refined and enhanced while the weakest parts of the original have been removed altogether. No more vehicle sections or those long tedious elevator rides. In making the game more focused weapon specialisation and the inventory system have been removed and replaced with weapon lockers and pre-mission load outs for your troops. Mass Effect 2 is available now on both the Xbox 360 and PC DVD.
Story & Consequences - The events of Mass Effect 2 take place a few years after the conclusion to Mass Effect, 200 years on from our own timeline. The main plot is that human colonies on the outskirts of space have begun to disappear and the main character Commander Yukiko Shepard joins up with the Cerberus organisation to investigate into suspicions that the Reapers are somehow involved. One thing I personally like is that if you have kept your save game from the original Mass Effect then all the choices you made from it are taken into account for the sequel. Did you execute a criminal or let them live in the original? Will you rescue someone at cost to yourself or let them perish? These choices do have consequences and the conversation system in the new game is as impressive as it was in the original Mass Effect. These ponderous questions flesh out the campaign and can have you having to make some hard choices as well as leave you thinking for a bit before making your decisions. Conversations are not the only choice making method; your actions develop the story, pushing someone out of harms way, or scaring an innocent will have effects on your personality and how you are perceived. Mass Effect 2 Special Edition is generally well-paced with much of the game revolving around you recruiting a team to tackle the threat of the Reapers. Of course each new recruit will need you to solve their individual problem before they join up with you. In the first game you automatically had your elite squad at the start. These missions are very well made and each one is unique so you do not feel as though you are grinding out missions and you feel a sense of accomplishment and involvement in the story, this is in part thanks to the wonderful cinematics on display.
Gameplay Effect - Mass Effect 2 has undergone more refinement in the skills and special abilities department. BioWare have removed the weapon specialisation and lowered the amount of weaponry and armour at your disposal. This gives you less items to fumble with and less time picking what you need and more time actually playing. In the first game your weapons never ran out of lead, unlimited ammunition. Most players would concentrate on one or two weapons and put all their skill points into making the weapons better and forgo all the other weapons choices, making them redundant and useless. In Mass Effect 2 you will need to make use of different weapons at different times and you will be reliant on how much ammunition you have. Ammo can now be taken from defeated aggressors to replenish your stock. This method will be familiar top anyone to have played a first person shooter game in the past 20 years. Another element taken from those games is the new health gauge which regenerates over time when you are hidden behind cover. Combined with the new ammo system this makes gun battles more intense and immersive without the repetitiveness of the combat from the first game. Now when you aim and fire at an enemy you will hit them(if your own skill is good enough) In the previous game there would be a check on your skill with the weapon and the factoring of other statistics to see weather or not you hit your target, even if you were point blank you could still miss. You can upgrade your weaponry and armour by exploring planets for resources. This is done via your ship, the SSV Normandy SR-2, which is fully controllable and allows you to scan unexplored worlds for these resources. The ship itself can be upgraded too.
Mass Worlds - BioWare have a good history of creating rich detailed worlds full of stunning creatures and characters, each one with an in-depth back story and purpose. Each member of the elite squad that you assemble are of interest and are fully fleshed out. Living, breathing worlds have been created and are more exciting and believable than in the original Mass Effect. Passers by get involved in conversations with each other, your squad chats to each other, discusses problems and interacts on many levels. This virtual cast gives you the feeling of being engrossed in a highly interactive experience.
Since the 1990’s BioWare have been at the forefront of the RPG genre. All the major RPG titles over the past decade and a half have been made by BioWare, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment, Neverwinters Night, Dragon Age and more. Their history in this genre shows through and they have vastly improved over the original Mass Effect and have produced a stunning piece of work. This is defiantly one for your collection and it leaves us wanting more, hopefully Mass Effect 3 won’t be too far away.

games There are several places to find duck hunting games on the internet, in video arcades and for home game consoles. Some of these games are gory and very realistic, while others are almost cartoonish and designed for kids.
Duck hunting games have become more realistic since Duck Hunt was released in the 1980s for the Nintendo entertainment system. They are so much more lifelike and real instead of cartoonish and funny.
I had so much fun using the tiny gray laser light gun to shoot the ducks when I used to be a kid on my first Nintendo. The graphics on video games now are nearly lifelike, with astounding 3D perspectives and scenes.
Games at the arcade are so difficult to play and very expensive to play. Most of the arcades do not have duck hunting games back from the nostalgic era.
Video arcades make most of their money from modern advanced video games with super 3d graphics and lifelike simulations. Duck hunting games and other classic video games do not stand a chance to make money unless it is someone who is just playing for the nostalgic effect. Modern video games are all about violence and entertainment value rather than just pure fun.
Some of today’s modern day video games cost several dollars to play. When I was younger most video games were a quarter and even the best ones were only 50 cents.
I just wish that I could find a video arcade somewhere that had more of the classic games like I used to play when I was growing up. One time I even rode my bike over three and a half miles to get to this huge video arcade. I just wish I had not wasted so much time playing duck hunting games and other Nintendo games.
I no longer play any video games on my computer or Playstation because I sold my system on craigslist. When I saw that my sister and her friends where completely addicted to playing video games, I vowed not to become a lazy person like that.
Playing a video game here and there to relieve stress is ok just as long as it is not a part of my daily routine. Duck hunting games can be played in a couple of minutes and are not like World of Warcraft where you just play for hours on end.

Writing is an extremely important component of modern video games. When games first game out, storylines were nonexistent (think Pong). Nowadays, every game needs a story, even if it is just an excuse to blow things up for no reason.
The engine and the available weapons were previously considered to be the only driving forces behind making a game captivating enough. However, it is only the ones written with a certain flair that have a higher recurring value which accounts for their success.
When it comes to writing, there needs to be a focus on two aspects. First is the storyline, and next is the character development. With an engaging story and characters that players can relate to and care about, the game takes on a whole new level of interactiveness.
It seems that the storyline in many modern games are lackluster, and more focus is put in to the visuals. While the latter is certainly quite important, the former is what makes a game truly great. Without a story, there is only so far a game can go.
By giving a game a good storyline, you ensure that players will be more interested in it. Since the purpose of developing a game is to sell it, a company wants to do everything in its power to make it work.
Basic games that do not have much room for a story should still be given something. Even if the introduction screen displays a simple message about your purpose, it is better than nothing.
However, a well written game does not instantly guarantee its success; likewise a poorly written one may not be an instant failure. Fans of well scripted games eagerly await a sequel, and this cannot be said for games that do not have a good story.
